What happens if I add too much fuel optimizer to the fuel tank?

There are definitely no negative consequences if you significantly overdose, as the liquid amount of the fuel optimizer mainly consists of a carrier substance (fuel/combustible), which mixes with the remaining fuel in the tank and is simply burned in the engine like the treated fuel.

The active ingredients integrate into the fuel without altering its chemical properties. The concentration of the active ingredients in the fuel is not nearly as high as when using common chemical substances, such as biocides, cleaning polyisobutylamines, or cetane boosters. Typically, 300 ml of chemical substances are added to 75 liters of fuel (a mixing ratio of 1 to 250).

The fuel optimizer is not suitable for cleaning an exhausted or clogged fuel filter. In case of an overdose of the fuel optimizer, an already exhausted or clogged fuel filter may become completely blocked due to the biological degradation products, potentially causing the vehicle to break down.
